I used to hold some kind of compassion for people that lacked self awareness.
I would think and say to myself that it’s not their fault, you can’t blame them for not seeing.
In my mind’s eye they resembled disabled people.
They were living with handicaps or conditions and on some unknown level to me, I felt like it was decent of me to extend them a certain kindness.
Because, again, it’s not their fault.
Choosing to not be aware is not a disability.
Though it can become one.
Choosing to blame others because you lack courage is not a disability.
Though it can become one.
Choosing to stay in limitation is not a disability.
Though it can become one.
You are not handicapped – you just need to get a backbone.
